Obituary


Faye Eldridge passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her residence after a brief illness. Services will be Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at McMillan Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 5-7 PM at McMillan Funeral Home. Bro. Titus Tyer will officiate the service.

She was an active member of the Rienzi Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending The Bishop and Jacinto Senior Centers and quilting with her friends. She participated in Senior Olympics at Jackson, MS and...

She was an active member of the Rienzi Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending The Bishop and Jacinto Senior Centers and quilting with her friends. She participated in Senior Olympics at Jackson, MS and Ole Miss and won numerous gold medals.

She was born on October 23, 1920 to the late Della and John Massengill. She is survived by two sons, Randall Eldridge and Gary Eldridge and wife Linda; one daughter Donna McDonough and husband John; four grandchildren, Daniel McDonough, Mari McDonough, Sara Boninu and husband Frank and Todd Eldridge and wife Paula; two great grandchildren, Jacob Eldridge and Jordyn Eldridge; two sisters, Reba Crow and Maxine Martin and a host of nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Frank Eldridge.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rienzi Baptist Church Building Fund.
