Pauline "Polly" McKinney Lauderdale, 88, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Landmark Nursing Facility. Polly was born January 4, 1929, to Rather L. and Erma McKinney of New Site, Mississippi. In high school Polly was one of the best basketball players in Prentiss County. She was a Lady Royal at New Site High School. On August 7, 1948, she married the love of her life, Robert "K-Boy" Lauderdale. Polly and K-Boy shared 67 wedding anniversaries together. Polly fulfilled many roles in her life, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Polly always "mothered" so many...

Pauline "Polly" McKinney Lauderdale, 88, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Landmark Nursing Facility. Polly was born January 4, 1929, to Rather L. and Erma McKinney of New Site, Mississippi. In high school Polly was one of the best basketball players in Prentiss County. She was a Lady Royal at New Site High School. On August 7, 1948, she married the love of her life, Robert "K-Boy" Lauderdale. Polly and K-Boy shared 67 wedding anniversaries together. Polly fulfilled many roles in her life, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Polly always "mothered" so many in her extended family and loved baby sitting for so many others. As the wife of a farmer, Polly always cooked and fed so many, and they were greatful to have her cook for them. She also worked at Blue Bell. She was a member at Gaston Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Gaston Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Parman officiating. Burial will be at Gaston Baptist Cemetery.

Polly is survived by one son, Wade "Eck" Lauderdale; one son-in-law, Gary Breedlove; three grandchildren, Craig (Mimi) Breedlove, Brad (Hollie) Breedlove, Kayla (Kevin) Manley; three great-granddaughters, Cara Breedlove, Piper Breedlove, and Charli Kate Manley; Sisters; Marge Leathers of Nashville, TN, and Liz Newcomb of Corinth, MS. And one sister in law, Donna McKinney. And a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, K-Boy; daughter, Dell Breedlove; her parents, Rather L. McKinney and Erma McKinney; brothers, Bill McKinney and James McKinney.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Gaston Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M at McMillan Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at Gaston Baptist Church on Thursday, August 10, from 12 P.M. until 2 P.M.
The memorial service will begin at 2 P.M. at Gaston Baptist Church.
